Mike and I had a quiet visit with the girls today. The bililights make them very sleepy, like spending a long day at the beach, so we let them rest and held their fingers and gave them pats.
Today Teagan moved out of Room 1 at the NICU. Room 1 is the only room with respitory services, and since she is doing so wonderfully breathing on her own, they needed to make room for other babies. She is doing well and they have increased her feedings. She only gets 1 cc of milk every 3 hours! She has a tiny tummy.
Lydia is doing great. She is eating too, 1 cc every 6 hours. I was very worried that the girls would miss each other, but the nurses assured me they would be together again as soon as possible, and when they are big enough to be in open cribs, they will share one. That made me happy. I figured after being so squished together for the last few months, it must be strange for the girls to have so much of their own room!

Mike and Brooke,
ReplyDeleteYour two little girls are such fighters and it was great to finally be able to read about them and catch up on all of the drama in the Ahrens household. We are excited to get a chance to come by and visit one of these days when things are not so hectic.
If there is anything you guys need help with, you know those little odds and ends that get left undone, just let Kat and I know and we are there for you.
Congrats on the beginning of your new family and we can't wait to see all of you guys back in Willow Glen!
Love,
The Lantz's
(Scott, Kat and Jack)
