walking back from the Hyatt

Hawaii being hotter and humider (is that a word?) than California, the walk home proved challenging....

All the girls were quite interested in the tree growing horizontally off the beach, and they all wanted to climb on the tree, despite the DO NOT CLIMB ON THE TREE SIGN attached to the trunk.

Teagan discovered that many of the hotels had beachside hammocks to enjoy....

And then our walk ground to a halt. Lydia, deciding that she was tired and hot, laid down under a tree and refused to move...

After calling her, begging her, encouraging her to get up and join us, I finally had to go and fetch her. I was forced to carry her the rest of the way home...
